The Quarryman
In their time
Quarrymen cut stone from the ground for walls, churches and castles, working with picks, wedges and hammers. Good building stone was valued and could travel far, usually by water, and some limestone was burnt for lime. Quarries were generally owned by lords or religious houses, who let them out or worked them for their own building. Quarrymen supplied masons and relied on carters and boatmen. Clay was dug for pots, tiles and, later, bricks.

What they need
A lead salt pan and an axe, without which the work can't be done. Also useful: a spade, a sickle, a basket, a pick and iron wedges.
How they learn
They learn quarrying by doing it: the work is practice, and practice raises their rank.
What they can't do
They don't buy or sell; their script can't trade.
