The Hunter
In their time
Hunting in medieval England was bound up with privilege. Royal forests and lords' chases and parks reserved deer and other game for their owners, and forest law punished trespass severely. Great households kept professional huntsmen, with hounds, kennel boys and a hierarchy of their own, to provide both sport and venison for the table. Humbler folk could take some small game where custom allowed, and poaching was common and much prosecuted.

What they need
A lead salt pan and an axe, without which the work can't be done. Also useful: a spade, a sickle, a basket, a pick and iron wedges.
How they learn
They learn hunting by doing it: the work is practice, and practice raises their rank.
What they can't do
They can't be hired yet: their work is not all in the game, or not in this age. They don't buy or sell; their script can't trade. Still to come: hunt, trap and fowl.
