Spinner's cottage
Spinning was mainly women's work, done at home alongside other tasks. In the 12th century it was done with a distaff, holding the prepared wool or flax, and a hand spindle weighted with a whorl, which the spinner twirled to twist the fibre into thread. The spinning wheel spread to Europe during the 13th century, with the earliest European illustration dated around 1280.
Caveats (confidence: high)
A 'spinner's cottage' as a distinct building is a game convention; spinning happened in ordinary homes.
